LTSBA Learns about Excel
The Loan Tree Small Business Association of Merrick County drew on the expertise of one of its members, Kim Brown, to learn more about the Microsoft Excel program. Brown, owner of CCOnline located in Central City, taught LTSBA members the basics of using the Excel program to develop databases and financial worksheets. Kim provided the computers, a PowerPoint handout for reference, and some hands-on experience to acquaint participants with the benefits of the program.
CREN Member Accesses REAL COLORS for Staff
The Crossroads Rural Entrepreneurs Network (CREN) in York County invited REAP staffer Monica Braun to present the REAL COLORS Personality Profile at their monthly meeting in March. Several members participated and enhanced their understanding of themselves and others in a fun evening.
In May, CREN member Nancy Dob of Mid-America Vision Clinic invited Monica to present the Personality Profile at a staff meeting. Staff members from the three offices spent a part of their meeting getting to know themselves and each other better. There were some “A-ha” moments as participants gained a greater understanding of the dynamics that occur when we interact with people of varying personalities.
