Fire Muster Planned for Nebraska City

The Nebraska City Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a Fire Muster for Fire enthusiasts in honor of the Department’s 150th Anniversary. It will be held the weekend of June 24, 2006.

This website, will give you a better idea of some of the activities. In addition to these activities, the Nebraska City Chamber is sponsoring a flea market which will feature items which either have a fire theme or are fire related. These can either be new items or antique/collectables following the fire theme.

This is a unique opportunity for REAP members with Fire-related items to have exposure to people from all over the United States. The Flea Market will be held downtown along with the parade and demonstration of antique fire equipment. This is something that “kids of all ages” will enjoy!

The last Antique Fire Muster held in Nebraska City was in 1997, and people came from as far away as Australia and England. So this is a unique opportunity for anyone with fire/fire department related items.
If REAP members are interested in bringing their fire-related items to the flea market, please contact Stephanie Shrader at .
